hello,
im running coova chilli on an openwrt 15.05 router.
i noticed that iphones are getting disconnected whenever you put them to
sleep. i get the following messages:

Thu Jan 26 06:22:08 2017 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
IEEE 802.11: disassociated due to inactivity
Thu Jan 26 06:22:08 2017 daemon.debug hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
MLME: MLME-DISASSOCIATE.indication(64:9a:be:d7:09:ad, 4)
Thu Jan 26 06:22:08 2017 daemon.debug hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
MLME: MLME-DELETEKEYS.request(64:9a:be:d7:09:ad)
Thu Jan 26 06:22:09 2017 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
IEEE 802.11: deauthenticated due to inactivity (timer DEAUTH/REMOVE)
Thu Jan 26 06:22:09 2017 daemon.debug hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
MLME: MLME-DEAUTHENTICATE.indication(64:9a:be:d7:09:ad, 2)
Thu Jan 26 06:22:09 2017 daemon.debug hostapd: wlan0: STA 64:9a:be:d7:09:ad
MLME: MLME-DELETEKEYS.request(64:9a:be:d7:09:ad)

i believe that it is related to coovachilli because whenever i associate
the wireless network to another network (not running chilli) i dont get
disconnected even after putting the telephone to sleep.

i have tried a wireshark capture and noticed this message

Reason code: Disassociated because sending STA is leaving (or has left) BSS
(0x0008)

any hints

best regards,

sebastian villalba
